Menopause Wingman - The Book
What Is Menopause Wingman?
Published in April 2026, Menopause Wingman, is the straight-talking, warm and genuinely useful handbook that partners of menopausal women have been waiting for. No jargon. No judgment. No watered-down advice.
Just honest, practical, human guidance, drawn from 25+ years of professional experience, one decade of personal menopause journey and the real, unfiltered voices of men from around the world who have been exactly where you are now.
"Menopause Wingman is long overdue. It gives men the understanding and tools they need to support the women they love - and in doing so, strengthens women-centred menopause care rather than competing with it."
Loretta Dignam, Founder & CEO of The Menopause Hub | Forbes Top 50 Over 50, Global List 2025
Why This Book Exists
It started with a chance encounter. At an online networking event, I met a man named Richard. When I mentioned my work emotionally supporting women in menopause, he stopped me:
"You should write a book for men. About menopause. My relationship might have survived if something like that had existed."
I never forgot it. Because Richard wasn't alone. In 25+ years of private practice, I had seen it again and again. The women struggling and the men beside them lost. Not uncaring. Not unwilling. Just completely in the dark. No one had spoken to them. No book existed for them. So I asked men from different countries to share their experiences. Their voices are woven throughout every chapter: honest, unfiltered, man to man. Menopause Wingman is the result. It's for every man who wants to do better than Richard could.
A Note for Her
If you're the woman reading this...hello. I see you, and I want you to know: this is exactly where I started.
Before this became a book for partners, my work was with women navigating menopause - the sadness that can tip into depression, the rage that comes from nowhere, the frightening thoughts, the exhaustion of feeling powerless in your own body and your own life. I've sat with women through all of it. And I've lived it myself.
So if you're here, struggling, overwhelmed, or just plain done - you're not too much and you're not alone.
This particular book was written for the men beside us, because so many of them didn't know how to show up. But if you're looking for support that's specifically for you: someone who understands this from both the professional side and the lived side - that's where I began over 10 years ago and it's still very much what I do. Visit the About Michelle page to find out about working with me one-to-one.
And if you're wondering whether to share this book with your partner? The answer is probably yes. Not because he needs fixing.
Because he loves you and doesn't know how to say it right now.

Menopause Wingman:
Because your relationship doesn't have to end the way Richard's did.
A Personal Note from Michelle
"If you've landed here, something brought you. Maybe she asked you to look it up. Maybe a mate mentioned it. Maybe you typed something into Google at midnight because you didn't know what else to do. Whatever the reason, I'm glad you're here.
I'm Michelle. I've spent over 25 years walking alongside people through the hardest moments of their lives. For the last decade, menopause has been at the heart of that work. Not just professionally, but personally. I know what it does to a woman. And I know what it does to the people who love her.
This book exists because of a man named Richard. He told me his relationship might have survived menopause if a book like this had existed. I never forgot that.
This is that book. And you're already doing the right thing just by being here."

Menopause Wingman Endorsement
"Demystifies menopause in a direct, no-nonsense yet humorous language that men can get.
Packed full of everyday analogies and metaphors and positively brimming with quick wins, practical exercises and strategies, as well as very meaningful insights from men's lived experience.
Michelle skilfully unlocks this highly challenging and confusing, yet inevitable life experience. With each chapter, I felt encouraged and better educated.
This book equips men with the mindset, empathy and resources to better handle and co-navigate this major life transition and strengthen and deepen their relationships.
Also provides highly transferrable communication and relationship skills for the other areas of men's lives".
