About Michelle A. Hardwick
Michelle A. Hardwick is the author of Menopause Wingman: The Emotional Handbook for Partners. A handbook written specifically for the husbands and partners of women going through menopause. Drawing on her own ten years' lived experience of menopause and twenty-five years in private practice supporting people through major life transitions, she offers a rare combination of personal understanding and professional insight.
As seen on Ireland AM, in the Irish Examiner and on Cork's 96F"Describing what I do in one sentence has never been my strong point.
No two people are the same. No two experiences are the same. We are as unique as snowflakes (and just as hot during a hot flush!)
What I can tell you is this:
I've been helping people change for 25+ years. As a hypnotherapist, meditation/mindfulness facilitator, health practitioner, speaker and author, I bring a solution-focused, deeply intuitive approach to everything I do. I don't arrive with all the answers - because the answers already live inside you. I just shine a light so you can see them more clearly.
My clients tell me they feel safe. Heard. Understood.
And often, surprisingly, that the answers were closer than they thought.
My own decade-long natural menopause journey including its very real impact on my marriage - brought me to write Menopause Wingman, the handbook for partners with conversations that nobody knew were missing.
The inspiration came from a chance conversation with a man named Richard, whose relationship hadn't survived his wife's menopause. That moment changed everything.
I live in County Cork, Ireland with my husband John and our beautiful rescue dog Keela.

Let's Work Together
"If you're looking for someone who genuinely gets it - whether that's 1:1 support through menopause, a sharing circle (for men or women), someone to walk alongside you or your partner through the change, or workplace menopause awareness training for your organisation - I'd love to hear from you."

Michelle A. Hardwick is the author of Menopause Wingman: The Emotional Handbook for Partners, published by Inner Peace Press with a foreword by Loretta Dignam, founder and CEO of The Menopause Hub and endorsed by Dr Matthew Cott, Chartered Counselling Psychologist.
Drawing on her own ten years' lived experience of menopause and twenty-five years in private practice supporting people through major life transitions, Michelle brings a rare combination of personal understanding and professional insight. In practice since 1998, she established her first clinic in Dunedin, New Zealand, combining hypnotherapy, NLP, Timeline Therapy and EFT. Michelle became one of New Zealand's leading EFT trainers before returning to North Wales in 2007. In 2010 Michelle settled in Co. Cork, Ireland.
Menopause Wingman grew directly out of her own menopause journey and its impact on her marriage, alongside a chance conversation with a man named Richard, whose relationship hadn't survived his wife's menopause. The book exists to help the men beside the women they love understand, show up and stay connected during menopause, as well as help women make sense of what is happening to them.
Michelle sees clients online worldwide and in person in Co. Cork. She facilitates menopause support circles for women and for men, including The Wingman Circle for partners. She delivers menopause awareness and workplace well-being programmes to organisations across Ireland and has spoken at PepsiCo's International Women's Day event in Cork.
Her work has been featured in the Irish Examiner, EchoLive, US Insider, the US Women's Journal, the Kivo Daily, the US CEO Weekly, the Book Revue, and across the Rhyl Journal and Newsquest North Wales titles. She has also appeared IrelandAM with her husband John, on 96FM with PJ Coogan, the Writing King and soon The Masters of Wellness Podcast.
